Zumba: Get in Shape for the Beach!

Zumba is taking the fitness world by storm. Originating in South Florida a few years ago, it's finally catching on as a fun way to drop pounds and get fit while actually enjoying it. Since we have so many fine beaches in Florida , lots of people want to stay in shape for the beach.

Zumba is a combination of aerobic dance and latin music. Combining movements of salsa, merengue, cha-cha, samba, cumbia, tango, and other dances, Zumba MAKES you want to move. The rhythms are compelling and the fun is automatic.

For those who like to take their workouts home, or just practice the moves in the privacy of their own homes, a Zumba DVD may be the answer. Master Zumba instructor Beto and his fellow Zumba evangelists have produced a set of 4 Zumba DVDs to teach everyone how to do Zumba. But you don't have to know anything about Zumba to enjoy your first Zumba experience. Just show up and follow along.

Zumba classes are not based on a preset routine. Students just follow what the teacher is doing. Most Zumba instructors change their music regularly and also introduce new steps and body movements so no one gets bored.

Every Zumba teacher is different, but with so many classes popping up all over, try several and decide which class you enjoy the most.
