Sarasota's Siesta Village Beachfront Vacation RentalsSiesta Key is connected to Sarasota, Florida by two bridges. The northern tip of Siesta Key is connected to Sarasota via Siesta Drive, just a few miles south of downtown Sarasota. Clark Road (also known as Stickney Point Road), joins Siesta Key from south Sarasota about mid-island, in the Point-of-Rocks area. Clark Road provides direct access to Interstate 75. The center of activity on the northern half of Sarasota's Siesta Key is from Siesta Village south to Siesta Key Public Beach. All Siesta Key beachfront vacation rentals in this area are conveniently located near the Village where restaurants, shops, and a small grocery keep you well fed and supplied with all the comforts of home and more. The majority of beachfront rentals in the Siesta Village area are between Avenida Messina (near the Village) and Calle Del Invierno (just north of the main public beach). There are also some wonderful beach houses, villas, homes, townhouses, condos, and other accommodations right across the street from the beach. There are no high-rises on this section of Siesta Key. There are many rental agents and management companies that specialize in Siesta Key beachfront vacation rentals. I have created these web pages to help you find a beachfront rental for your vacation. Ocean Boulevard passes directly through the village before curving sharply to the south and becoming Beach Road. There are numerous beach access paths along Beach Road. The paths pass between the beachfront rentals, lead through the foliage and tall grasses, then out onto one of the widest, whitest, flattest, powdery beaches you will ever see. Most of Sarasota's Siesta Key beachfront vacation rentals are within walking distance of the Village, so you could easily take care of all of your needs without needing a car for days. Whatever you are looking for in the way of accommodations, you can find it here. There are many rental management companies, real estate companies, condominiums, and private individuals offering some really beautiful beachfront vacation rentals, as well as some that are right across the street from the beach. Below is a photo of Beach Road looking south toward Sarasota's Siesta Public Beach, about halfway between the Village and the main Public Beach access. Beach Road is lined with beautiful tropical foliage and palms. A great and wonderful benefit of Siesta Key is the sidewalk(s) that run the length of the island, so you can walk or bike anywhere you want to go. This part of Beach Road is lined with beautiful vacation rentals. |

If you are staying anywhere on Beach Road north of Siesta Public Beach, this is what your trail to the beach will look like. A wide area of beach vegetation separates the beachfront vacation rentals from the sandy beach. There is a lot of Muhly grass along the trail, which has beautiful purple flowers when it blooms. You can see how white and powdery the sand is. Someone has made a trail with their bicycle in the sand. The beach is flat enough, and firm enough near the water's edge to ride a bike or push a baby stroller. |

As you emerge from the trail onto the beach, here is the view looking south toward Siesta Public beach. You can see some of the beachfront vacation rentals on the left, and you can also see some of the masts of the catamaran sailboats on the beach. Some of the accommodations have sailboats. This is the widest and whitest beach on Siesta Key, or any other island on the lower Gulf coast. |
